Nick Frost

I am a IT Project Manager for Burslem-based IT company Synectics Solutions. After reaching my thirties and resigning myself to the fact that I was never going to play football for Stoke, I hung up my boots and started doing some running to keep fit.

I obtained a ballot place to the 2017 London Marathon and was looking for a charity to raise money for, when Nikki from The Donna Louise came in to Synectics Solutions to discuss the work the charity does and the future plans for the young adult facilities. Although I was aware of The Donna Louise, mainly through Stoke City, I wasn’t aware of the true extent the charity does for children and their families. Following on from this, I decided that I would raise money for The Donna Louise.

When Carol Shanahan, the MD of Synectics Solutions, approached me about undertaking the Tower to Tower challenge, I was sceptical as to whether I would be able to do it; whether I had it in me to complete such a challenge. Then one evening, I was browsing The Donna Louise YouTube channel and, with tissues in hand, I knew this was something I would be doing.

I am looking to raise £10,000 for The Donna Louise as part of Tower to Tower and I can’t wait to push myself harder than I ever have before and make a difference to the lives of the children and families that use the services at The Donna Louise.
