Steve was one of the athletes in the original Tower to Tower team in 2015. He is the first to admit this event was a life changing experience and reignited his love for challenge and endurance events and was the kickstart he needed to get his health and fitness (at this point in his early 40s) back on track.
Since the original row he has completed the London to Paris route 2 more times (in 2016) by cycle and as a run (just over 10 marathons in 10 days!) making him the only person ever to complete the triple. Blisters and broken body parts are now healed and he is ready for the next big challenge.
Originally a 'Brummy' but now living in Staffordshire Steve is Senior Lecturer and Head of Sports Therapy at Staffordshire University. He joined the university back in 2009 and was instrumental in writing the sports therapy degree programme and in its current development and delivery. Prior to this he ran a sports therapy company which had 6 sports injury clinics across Staffordshire. He has a wealth experience working with elite athletes in a variety of sports throughout his career.

One careless conversation and the inability to say 'no' has resulted in me playing an active part in this Tower to Tower phenomenon! I can’t wait to get my teeth into this next mammoth Paris – London challenge. We have an awesome team of people for 2018 ready to push themselves to the limit to raise money for this awesome charity. Let the training begin!”
